Governors: the first state-level office
The separate governor directory covers all 50 states and five territories. Its basic current-holder profiles and 2026 election schedule were checked October 19, 2026. Governor career histories and executive records have not been collected. Download the roster and election research.
Source dates are part of the evidence
Research was checked October 19, 2026. The House roster and assignments were published October 1, 2026. Roster identities were checked against official sources during integration; assignment changes since the source snapshot have not been fully re-audited. The Senate roster does not publish an effective date.
Most congressional career summaries are attributed to the Congressional Directory compiled through October 1, 2025 and published February 20, 2026. Newer-member summaries use separate official evidence. A collection date is not a fresh verification of every historical biographical detail.
What remains incomplete?
- Individual term and service dates, special elections, candidacy, state-specific registration deadlines, and future House district boundaries are not fully verified. Separately verified fields remain available where researched.
- Regular-cycle examples are calculations shown separately from individually verified election dates.
- Six nonvoting House profiles have roster and committee context, with career and individual voting research still uncollected.
- Governors are now covered in a separate state and territorial directory. Other state/local officeholders, the lower federal judiciary, and Cabinet-level agencies outside the 15 departments are not yet profiled.
- Historical committee membership, a complete legislative archive, and comprehensive party-platform or candidate-policy comparisons remain outside this edition.
Read different records differently
Confirming a nominee is an action by senators, not a vote cast by the nominee. Prior congressional responses remain under earlier service. Court participation retains partial joins and separate opinions. Executive announcements do not establish later implementation or current legal effect.
Known source qualifications
Some executive entries were supported by official indexed excerpts when full text could not be archived. Those profiles and action pages identify this. The Commerce action has month precision only. Rubio and Mullin have prior congressional examples, with no separate current-department action example in this batch. Tillis’s concise career summary avoids disputed early state legislative endpoints.
Historical committee source records
The source included a body explicitly labeled 2024. It is retained below for transparency and excluded from current navigation and assignments.
